Madelaine L. Schwab
Managing Partner
Ms. Schwab joined Page-Wheatcroft & Co., Ltd., in 1999, as a
Managing Partner of the New York office, where she conducts senior-level legal searches
for the firm's clients on a national basis.
Previously, Ms. Schwab was Senior Vice President of WJM Associates,
Inc., where she specialized in legal and executive search at the counsel and partner
level, and was head of the firm's Legal Search Division. In that position, Ms. Schwab also
consulted to clients in the areas of management effectiveness and career development.
Prior to entering the executive search profession, Ms. Schwab practiced
law for twenty-one years, thirteen years as a partner. During her legal career, Ms. Schwab
specialized in general corporate and securities law, with related expertise in the areas
of bankruptcy, real estate and tax. For the last ten years of her legal career, Ms. Schwab
was a partner at the New York based firm of Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler,
LLP.
Ms. Schwab's breadth of law firm practice, at both large and small
firms, coupled with her wealth of knowledge of corporations, causes her to understand the
business and personal needs of law firms, corporations and attorneys. Her business acumen
and skills as a former corporate law firm partner enables her to provide effective counsel
to both candidate and clients.
Ms. Schwab received her BA from the College of Arts and Sciences at
Cornell University, with "Distinction in all Subjects", graduating in the top
ten-percent of her class. She received her juris doctor degree with Honors from The
George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the Law Review. |
